Adam Roake MA DipArch (Cantab) Architect FRSA

Adam has over fourteen years experience giving evidence at Public Inquiries and for eight of those years he was both the appeal team client and expert witness in his role as Planning and Design Director at Goldcrest Land PLC.  His expertise covers architecture, including urban design, and development viability with particular reference to the GLA Affordable Housing Toolkit and the HCA/ GVA Grimley Economic Appraisal Toolkit.  He has worked with a number of barristers, including Keith Lindblum QC, Morag Ellis QC, Mark Lowe QC, Tony Porten QC, Tim Straker QC, Mary Cook, James Perreira, Rupert Warren QC, and come up against the likes of Simon Bird QC, Hereward Philpot, William Upton, Stephen Morgan, Meyrick Lewis, Matthew Reid and Michael Druce.

Out of the twenty-one appeals he has been involved in, he has won sixteen (76%); an impressive record attributable to the thoroughness with which the cases were prepared and presented at Inquiry, so that the Inspector had as little difficulty as possible in allowing the appeal.  All five of the lost appeals led to new planning applications which were subsequently granted.
